The Chalkboard Mask
Chalkboard Mask at Woolgather Art Prize.
A papier-mâché, featureless mask painted with chalkboard paint. It is placed in a space with chalk and a cloth. The viewer can pick up the mask and use the chalk to create their own image on the front. This often leads to a photograph being taken before the image on the mask is wiped away ready for the next one.
Over 100 photographs were taken of the mask over the course of the two week exhibition with people of all ages, backgrounds and interests interacting by drawing on to it.

I am giving away ChalkBoard masks to Arts Cafes and Spaces!
